Job Description
We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern . This role is a full-time, internship role and is remote . The internship dates are June 2, 2025 to August 1, 2025.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and document the organization's data reporting needs, data policies, and definitions
Evaluate existing business processes and workflows, understand the data management/ data governance framework and identify areas for improvement
Derive Data Taxonomy from our documented business processes to build the Data Services SOP playbook and hierarchies
Develop and maintain documentation, including data glossary, report summaries, process maps, and technical specifications
Develop a consistent set of models and templates to document requirements
Support testing and validation of reports to ensure they meet business needs and quality standards
Dive deep into data to extract important insights
Help improve data literacy across the organization and help establish standards for making data-informed decisions
What You'll Need
Required
Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics or a related field
Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher
Data analysis skills and capabilities with the ability to drive analysis independently
Strong skills in understanding data governance frameworks and documentation of the existing processes/workflow, data glossary, etc
Interest in learning the ins and outs of our business structure and data to be an effective data partner
Preferred
- Knowledge of Data Modeling and exposure to Reporting Tools like Power BI is a plus
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
