Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst for a full time, fully remote 6-month contract opportunity. The selected resource will gather both technical and functional requirements, create processes and workflows, and conduct analysis in a healthcare setting, using their working knowledge of HL7/FHIR messaging protocols and experience on one or more CDRs. This candidate will perform source-to-target mapping of raw data to elements of enterprise data models that are fit for consumption by end-users.
What You’ll Do
Assist with stakeholder mapping and analysis
Conduct multi-layer data analysis independently by linking data from multiple health information data sources
Work with the cross-functional teams to create project artefacts, documentation, and reports
Assist quality assurance resources in developing test scenarios
Develop plans for defining requirements, complete with approach, stakeholders, schedules, and deliverables
Work closely with the Project Manager, Product Owner, Functional BA, Clinical Informatics Specialists and Enterprise Architect (EA) to gather and document mapping requirements
Create deliverables such as source to target mappings, process flows, data dictionaries and related materials for stakeholder approval, using leading practice methods and tools
Familiar with agile product development in a cross-functional environment
Manage requirements scope via established change control processes
Assist the EA in creating technical solution options, briefing notes and technical recommendations
Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders as advised
Produce clear and concise documentation for stakeholders
Conduct research and environmental scans as required
Available to attend meetings within EST working hours
Performs other related duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
Required:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior Data Analyst in the healthcare sector.
Excellent skills building source to target mappings using hl7/FHIR messaging protocols, technical and functional requirements and conducting analysis in a healthcare setting
Experience analyzing processes and understanding the interactions between various healthcare systems
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, developing agendas, requirements elicitation, and facilitating collaboration across a variety of stakeholder groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization and time management and documentation skills
Experience analyzing processes and understanding the interactions between various healthcare systems
Ability to work with operations teams, develop documentation to meet their needs and support the development of change management, training, and user resources
Strong communication skills to support communication between technical and business teams
Experience working within Health Sector or similar province-wide health systems
Experience in large-scale healthcare interoperability or integration projects
Portfolio samples which clearly demonstrate expertise and experience (integration deliverables, FHIR profiles, implementation guides etc.)
Strong analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development
Source to Target Mapping (STTM)
Preferred:
Knowledge of FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7, APIs is a huge asset
Experience with Google Cloud Platform preferred
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
