Job Summary
As a Finance Intern, you will analyze and forecast financial reports, assess discrepancies, reconcile balance sheet accounts, create amortization schedules, oversee accrual reconciliations, and improve data integrity and reporting for CAI and its affiliates.
Job Description
We are looking for a Finance Intern . This position will be a full-time Internship role and remote. The internship program runs from June 2nd 2025 - August 1st 2025.
What You’ll Do
Prepare monthly analysis of financial reports for operating divisions and cost centers, including trend analysis and spending/revenue patterns
Assess monthly financials for discrepancies and error reporting
Prepare monthly forecasts for operating divisions and cost centers
Prepare ad hoc reports to support management in financial decision making
Process recurring journal entries and accruals for month end close
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to investments, accounts receivable, employee receivables, prepaids, accrued and deferred revenue, intercompany, fixed assets and various tax liability accounts
Create amortization schedules as prepaid supplier invoices are entered in the accounting system
Oversee the reconciliation and analysis of all accruals
Continually strive to improve data integrity and information reporting of CAI and its affiliates
What You'll Need
Currently enrolled in a college degree program in a Finance & Accounting related major
Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher
Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well independently or collaboratively as part of a team
Must be analytical, detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills and a positive attitude
Critical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
